Our Special Little Guy "One-Eyed Jackson"
Name: Jackson
Description: Domestic Long-Hair Black Male Kitten
Age: Approx 16 weeks old
His story:
Jackson was found along with his siblings (Violet, Sweet Pea & Huck) homeless and living under the Highway 87 bridge near the Guadalupe River. Their momma cat (an abandoned friendly cat) was trying hard to keep her babies warm and had built a “nest” for her nursing kittens in an old abandoned cardboard box. When Jackson’s rescue person discovered Jackson and his family, she didn’t think Jackson was going go live, but with lots of love and special care, coupled with Jackson’s will and zest for life, this spunky little guy is doing fine now and is a healthy, spunky, cuddly little 16 week old purr machine!
Jackson’s siblings are all ready for adoption, but Jackson needed special eye surgery to remove what remained of his eye, which was injured and had shrunken / disintegrated into his eye socket and became infected while he was just a little kitty living outside. Despite good care, his eye could not be saved. Jackson’s eye has now been removed by an eye specialist and he feels much, much better and has become even more playful and fun-loving now that his surgery is complete.
After his heals completely, Jackson will be ready to find a special adoptive home. He gets around and doesn’t even realize he’s special. He will need no further medical care for his eye once it is completely healed. He loves the company of his siblings and other cats and would be happiest if he could be adopted into a home with another kitty companion to play with.
